ABB has launched the new KPM KB2 Ranger model,a paper break detection device that is less susceptible to jams,color and grade variations,maximizing uptime and reducing maintenance requirements.

As a new addition to the industry-leading ABB KPM break detection portfolio,this non-contact optical sensor will demonstrate its importance for paper or board producers who frequently change grades or colors:

The KPM KB2 Ranger model has longer measuring distances(up to 1.5 m)and features a side mount to mount the probe outside the machine.It provides reliable paper break detection in various configurations such as felt,dryer wire or dryer,and has a freely adjustable probe that is not limited by the detection angle,thus avoiding the risk of paper jamming on the probe.Achieve greater reliability and accuracy regardless of paper and board,regardless of color.
