Many fear that new technologies will hit the labor market and cause job losses. Some analysts believe that in the next 5 to 10 years,14%of the work in OECD countries will be automated, and 32%of the work will change the way of operation. In EU member states,37%to 69%of jobs will be at least partially automatable, and another 25%will be significantly changed by the implementation of automation.
However, the report of the World Economic Forum pointed out that digitization and automation will bring more new employment opportunities. On the one hand, due to the use of new technologies such as automation, the demand for existing jobs has decreased, and low-skilled jobs such as simple repetitive labor are most likely to be replaced by machines. It is estimated that in the next five years,85 million jobs worldwide will be affected by this. But at the same time, due to the investment in new technologies,97 million related jobs will be created in the next five years, especially the surge in demand for jobs related to human-computer interaction and algorithms.
