The Neuron 1.x version was originally closed source.With the growth of the user scale,the demand for customization such as driver development and northbound docking has increased.In order to allow more users to develop more flexible protocols and plug-ins based on the high-performance industrial data acquisition access framework,in line with EMQ’s original intention of embracing open source,Neuron will officially become an open source project since version 2.0,and the source code repository is hosted on GitHub(https://github.com/emqx/neuron/releases/tag/2.0.0).

Neuron v2.0 will focus more on the basic capabilities of data collection,aggregation and forwarding of industrial protocols,and provide a basic communication framework for high-performance data access for the construction of industrial IoT platforms.

Neuron 1.x版本最初为闭源形态，随着用户规模的增长，对于驱动开发与北向对接等定制化需求日益增多。为了让更多用户能够基于高性能的工业数据采集接入框架实现更灵活的协议和插件开发，本着EMQ拥抱开源的初心，自2.0版本起，Neuron将正式成为开源项目，源代码仓库托管在GitHub（https://github.com/emqx/neuron/releases/tag/2.0.0）中。

Neuron v2.0将更加聚焦于工业协议的数据采集、聚合和转发的基础能力，为工业物联网平台建设提供高性能数据接入基础通讯框架。
