SIKO GmbH has added another member to its extensive range of rotary encoders with the new Industrial Ethernet rotary encoder series.Fully committed to the slogan”Absolute,compact and future-proof”,these encoders meet the requirements of new machine concepts and Industry 4.0.The optical single-turn and multi-turn absolute rotary encoders WV5850 and WH5850 have higher resolution and are designed for real-time applications.In the PROFINET version,the rotary encoder supports cycle times of 250µs and is suitable for drive technology,bearing technology and factory automation.With regard to drive technology in particular,rotary encoders stand out for their electromagnetic insensitivity and,thanks to their support of the latest PROFINET and EtherNet/IP functions,allow for easy integration and optimum plant availability.The WH5850 is available in various hollow shaft diameters,while the WV5850 is available in different hollow shaft sizes.But it’s not just the front face of the rotary encoder that is full of flexibility-the rotary encoder cover has a very compact design,which is very helpful for installing rotary encoders with Industrial Ethernet interface in very small spaces!As a result,the rotary encoder can be easily integrated into the device with a compromise between performance and installation space.
