User program memory capacity
Reasonable determination of the capacity of PLC’s user program memory is an indispensable link in PLC application design and selection.Generally speaking,the memory capacity of the user program memory is related to the memory utilization rate,the total number of switch I/O,the number of analog I/O points and the programming level of the designer.
Simple estimation formula:
Number of words in memory=(total switch I/O points+analog I/O points X 16)X 10
In the formula:each analog channel(or I/O point)is equivalent to 16 switch I/O points.On this basis,a margin of 20 to 25%can be considered.For systems with complex processes,the memory capacity should be appropriately increased.Otherwise,when the control is complex and the data processing volume is large,the problem of insufficient memory capacity may occur.
用户程序存储器的容量
合理确定PLC的用户程序存储器的容量,是PLC应用设计及选型中不可缺少的环节。一般说来,用户程序存储器的内存容量与内存利用率、开关量I/O总数、模拟量I/O点数及设计者的编程水平有关。
简单的估算公式:
内存字数=(开关量I/O总点数+模拟量I/O点数X 16)X 10
式中:每个模拟量通道(或I/O点)相当16个开关量I/O点。在此基础上,可考虑留有20~25%的裕量。对于工艺比较复杂的系统,应适当增加存储器的容量,否则,当控制较复杂、数据处理量大时,可能出现存储器容量不够的问题。
