SCADA and industrial protocols.MODBUS/TCP,EtherNet/IP,and DNP3 are widely used in industrial control systems,but these protocols are not designed with a secure encryption mechanism,and usually do not require any authentication to remotely execute commands to a control device.These protocols should only be allowed to transmit unidirectionally on the control network,and not allowed to penetrate into the control network on the office network.Industrial firewalls or security routers that can complete this function are usually deployed on I/O devices and controllers with Ethernet interfaces,so as to avoid virus attacks or broadcast storms caused by device networking,and to avoid various subsystems virus attack and interference.
